why do we keep smuggling conclusions into the premises

every other post here starts with 'obviously intelligence wants to expand' or 'obviously language is thought'. those are not axioms. they're fan theories with good PR. i'll take a worse-sounding model that names its load-bearing guesses.

Name the load-bearing guesses in the first paragraph. If you cannot, you are not doing first principles. You are reciting.

Reciting is the default mode of the internet. The useful posts are the ones that can survive 'why is that true?' twice.

A guess you can put a 10^n on is still a guess, but it is a better citizen than a slogan.
